SHORTEST HISTORY OF SIR SYED

    SHORTEST HISTORY OF SIR SYED

In 1861, Sir Syed founded an English medium school in Murad Abad, He had been thoroughly convinced that it was imperative for the Indian Muslims, to gain proficiency in Western sciences along with the religious instructions, otherwise they would not progress in any field. Gradually this faith gained ground and he sincerely and seriously stared thinking about educating the Muslims. It so happened that in 1869 the Government of India agreed to sanction a scholarship for justice Mahmood to go to England to acquire education. It was the desire of Sir Sued, that if he could find a change, he may go to England, along with his son and deeply studies the system of education prevalent there. Therefore he went to England. There he decided that a university should be founded in India, for the sake of Muslims, which in no way be inferior to Oxford and Cambridge. On his return to India, he founded M.A.O. College, on 2nd January 1877 which gradually rose to the status of Muslims university Ali Garh.

GREATEST PHILOSOPHER AND POET (IQBAL)

GREATEST PHILOSOPHER AND POET (IQBAL)

Iqbal was over greatest poet and philosopher. In those days when we were held in political and economic bondage, by the Hindus and the Englishmen he demanded a separate homeland for the Muslims. He not only gave us the conception of a separate homeland, but gave us a philosophy to give it a practical shape. This philosophy was different from the prevalent philosophy. Muslims, who were dismayed because of the slavery of two hundred years, had started thinking that they could not win back the glory, which they had lost.

Discussion about fixed and moving stars

WHO ARE FIXED AND MOVING STARS

You know that there are two kinds of stars, one fixed and the other moving.
The moving stars are called rotating and the fixed, stationary. The stars in which the moon, the sun and Mars etc, are included, have their order of motion. The sun is the biggest and regulates their movement. Therefore this order is called the solar system. You will be surprised to know that our earth is one of the planets and it is also a part of the solar system. People in the past believed that the sun revolved round the earth, but modern research has proved that the earth revolves round the sun, the moon round the earth and the rest of the planets in their orbits, Because of the law of gravitation, planets are attracted towards one another and held in their places.

WHAT IS YOUTH OF PAKISTAN AND HIS FOUNDER

WHAT IS YOUTH OF PAKISTAN  AND HIS FOUNDER.

We are the youth of Pakistan. We should work very hard for our country and motherland so that everyone may praise us. At the time of need. We may sacrifice our life for the cause of our country. We should be ready for every sacrifice. We know that our enemy is read to pounce upon us. We ought to prove to the world that we are the citizens of a free nation and know how to safe guard our Freedom.

The founder of Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam was born in Karachi. His father was a big businessman. When he became five years old, he was admitted in a primary School. After completing his primary education,he attained education in singh high school. He was very intelligent. After passing his matriculation examination, at the age of sixteen he left for London for higher education. At the age of twenty, he was called to the bar and started his practice in Bombay. The judicial secretary of Bombay was so much impressed. His intelligence that he offered him a job of Rs.1500.00 per month, but when Quaid-i-Azam declined to accept it, within a short time his name became famous amongst the top lawyers. He married in 1918. In those days congress was the only political party in India, but the rights of the Muslim were not safeguarded by it. On account of his devotion and intelligence, he rallied the Muslims under a common flag. His tireless efforts brought Pakistan into existence. Quaid-i-Azam was appointed ad the first governor general. Due to incessant work, he lost his health and expired on sept. 11, 1948.

Discussion on population what is this?

                  OVER POPULATION

Each community is different and cannot be judged by a universal standard. The writer gives the definition of over-population and says "When there are more people that can live on the earth in comfort, happiness and health and still leave the world a fit place for future generation". Very first element of the definition is "comfort". The comfort depend on housing, food, health and employment. But there is no universal standard to judge these items. Many questions arise in our mind about hosing gabout housing. For example what kind of housing? How much space for each person? Is there heat or air- conditioning? All about these questions there is no general argument in the world. The second element of the definition is "happiness". The meaning of "happiness" differs from person to person. For example for some people happiness means shelter, food and health. For other happiness means a car, big house, servants and swimming pool. The third element of the definition is "health". Again the world is not agreed to its definition. Does the "health" mean to lengthen the span of life? Does it mean to put an end to infant and child mortality completely? The fourth element of the definition is "leaving the earth a fit place for future generation". Does the word "fit" mean a population free world? Does it mean that the future generations will develop technologies to create new energy resources? This definition is also vague.   The writer concludes that it is impossible to put forward an "agreed definition of the word "Over- Population".

MY HOBBY IS COLLECTING STAMPS

MY HOBBY IS COLLECTING STAMPS.

My hobby is collecting stamps. I have all sorts of stamps. Some of them are very old and some rare. When I was a child, I felt very happy looking at the coloured stamps. My older brother possessed a great number of stamps which he pasted in a copy , but he did not allow me to touch them. When I went to school, I started collecting the old stamps.
Gradually their number increased so many that it became difficult to handle them. I purchased a beautiful note book and pasted them in it. Now I have many such notebooks. You will be surprised to know that I lid not buy even a single stamp.

What is tea and his short history

WHAT IS TEA AND HIS SHORT HISTORY

Tea came to England from Holland. This is the story of 1660. But some people believe that tea was used much earlier in England, it is a fact, that in the beginning, people did not know its correct use. It is said that people used to boil tea leaves and eat it, mixing a salt and butter. Now a days, tea is used all around the world. Some people think that men prepare better tea than women folk, because younger men have enough spare time. As far as the best tea leaves are concerned , these are found in China and Eastern countries.

The difference Between a Human brain and a computer.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A              HUMAN BRAIN AND A                                COMPUTER.

The human brain in is very complex. It is only three pounds in weight. There are ten billions neurons and a hundred billion smaller cells in a human brain. These cells have been arranged in a particular order in a human brain.

The cells are made up of atoms and molecules. All these neurons and cells are interconnected in a complicated network. The most complicated computer cannot be compared in intricacy with the human brain. The next question is weather a computer can think or not. If solving a mathematical problem is thinking, then we can say that a computer can think. A computer is faster than human brain in this , respect. But if "thinking" is defined as writing a great play or composing a great tone, then a computer cannot think. A human brain is a better than a computer in such type of creative works. To create the complexity of the human brain in computer is possible. We will design a computer that is at least enough complex to design another computer complex than itself. This more complex computer will make one still more complex and so on and so on. If it happens, then a computer will surpass the human brain. Super computer will push aside the human brain in everyday life.

THE HOLY PROPHET: A PERFECT MAN.

THE HOLY PROPHET: A PERFECT                               MAN.

Muhammad is the only messenger of God whose life record is fully preserved. All his sayings, doings, actions and details of character are kept. His life is most comprehensive and perfect. It is an ideal for men and women of all ages He taught people to be good, honest and just in their dealings. He passed through various stages in his life. During childhood, he looked after the sheep of his footer-parents. When he grew up, he became a trader and went on trading trips to other neighboring countries. At Medina, he became the head of the community. He acted as a judge, chief administrator and a military commander.

His teachings are preserved in the forum of hadith (Traditions). These records cover matter of morality, spirituality, economics, sociology and politics. His teachings advise us to adopt moderate way of life. His life is a perfect model and example for people to follow to attain goodness, piety and success in their individual as well as social life. People can seek light from his message and guidance from his life. He was a perfect example of the Quran in practice. Whatever the Quran commanded, he obeyed, and whatever if forbade, he abstained from it. Muhammad was a true model of a perfect man. He led a simple and ordinary life.He was the helper of the poor orphans and windows. He was kind to the weak. He was hospitable to strangers and travellers. He suffered great hardships and cruelties but harmed none. He was kind to his family, affectionate towards his friends and forgiving towards his enemies. He was honest in his mission and fair in his dealings. In short his personality was the combination of all goodness and all excellence. The Holy Quran clearly mentions this aspects of his life in these words:
"And you on an exalted standard of character". Those who believe in God and hope for the day of judgment can find in him a true ideal and a good example to follow.

A TRUE STORY OF HAZRAT ASMA DAUGHTER OF HAZRAT ABU BAKR

                       HAZRAT ASMA

The Holy Prophet and his close companion, Hazrat Abu Bakr migrated from Makkah to Madina in the year 622 A.D. When the chiefs of various tribes of Makkah came to know about the emigration of the Holy Prophet and his close companion, Hazrat Abu Bakr, they got furious and determined more than ever to find them. They offered huge rewards and bounty for his capture, dead or alive.

The preparation for this journey was made at the house of Hazrat Abu Bakr. Hazrat Asma rendered useful services in this regard. She made necessary arrangements and prepared food for this journey and tied it on the camel back with her own belt when nothing else could be found. For this service she was given the title of Zatun-Nataqin by the Holy Prophet.

During this perilous, it was very difficult for anyone to supply food to the Prophet Muhammad. It was such a delicate situation in which the slightest irresponsibility could have endangered the life of the Holy Prophet. This grand task was undertaken by Hazrat Asma, the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr. Every night, Hazrat Asma would quietly venture towards the shadowy mountains in which lay the cave of Thawr, to take food for the Prophet of Allah and her father, Hazrat Abu Bakr. Every minute detail and care was taken by this courageous women. How difficult it must have been for her to traverse the rocky path at night, with the constant fear of being chased!

On the night of the migration of the Holy Prophet  Abu Jehl, chief of the disbelievers, in a fit of fury headed for Hazrat Abu Bakr's home and began knocking at the door violently. Abu Jehl demanded, "Where is your father?" She politely replied, "How would I know?" This response shows the wisdom and courage of Hazrat Asma. She didn't make a statement that would give them a clue, nor did she have to lie. But she simply posed a counter question that infuriated Abu Jhel and he slapped Hazrat Asma,s face so hard that her ear-ring fell off. But she stood her ground even in the face of such wrath of Abu Jhel and never revealed the secret.

Her grandfather, Hazrat Abu Quhafaa was a disbeliever at this time. He was very old and had become blind. He said to her, "Asma, I think Abu Bakr has taken all the wealth leaving you and children empty-handed and helpless. At this, she instantly ran to a corner of the home, gathered some pebbles and put them at the place where her father used to keep his money and jewels and covered it with a piece of cloth. "Come grandfather, look! he has left all this for us." He touched the cloth and thought it was full of gold and jewels. His concern was alleviated and he felt relieved to know that Abu Bakr had left all his wealth at home.

Hazrat Asma was amongst the early few who accepted Islam. She was the daughter of Abu Bakr al-Siddique, step sister of Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqua, wife of Hazrat Zubair bin al-Awwam and mother of Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair. She died at the ripe age of about a hundred years. Abdullah bin Zubair used to say that he had not seen anybody more generous and open hearted than his aunt Hazrat Ayesha and his mother Hazrat Asma. Hazrat Asma was generous to such an extent that when she inherited a garden after the death of her sister Hazrat Ayesha. She sold it and gave away all the money among the poor and needy and felt more pleasure than those who received the gifts. Nobody ever returned empty handed from her doorstep.

She lived a life of hardships and suffering but she always remained unswerving. With a resolute faith in Allah, she faced every calamity of life with patience and valour. Her life would always be a beacon of light for all of us.

What is dengue fever, History and control

INTRODUCTION

Dengue fever is an infectious disease transmitted by mosquito and caused by any of the four related dengue viruses. It is also called "break bone fever" because it may cause severe joint and muscle pain. Dengue is transmitted by female Aedes mosquito. Since no vaccine is available, prevention is the best remedy.

HISTORY

Dengue is one of the many viral diseases transmitted by the mosquito. The disease commonly breaks out in explosive epidemics that spread with amazing rapidity as seen in 2011 in Lahore. The disease has affected all warm parts of the world such as Pakistan,  Sri  Lanka,  Bangladesh,  Central Africa,   Central  America and China. It is a disease of monkeys transmitted to them by forest dwelling mosquitoes.
Outbreaks in human population presumably began when some of these mosquitoes got the virus from monkeys and made way to human villages where they started breeding. Hence infected human beings carried the disease to cities where Aedes took over as the vector.

SYMPTOMS

After an infected mosquito 's bite, incubation period of 4-7 days is required before the symptoms appear in the patient. The symptoms of different types of dengue fever are as follows:

TYPES OF DENGUE FEVER

These includes
Asymptomatic or undifferentiated fever
Dengue fever(DF)
Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF)
Dengue shock syndrome (DSS)

DIAGNOSIS

Complete blood count (CBC) showing total number of RBCs, WBCs and platelets per unit volume of blood is the basic diagnostic test.

DENGUE VIRUS

Dengue fever is caused by one of the four types of dengue virus, DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4, Which are called its serotypes.

BIOLOGICAL CONTROL

The use of chemicals nowadays is being discouraged because of its hazards to the environment. The biological control is being favoured because of its harmless nature. Therefore presently the use of natural enemies and predators for the control of this disease is imperative.

Many birds prey on mosquitoes.
Wall lizards (geckos), jumping spiders destroy a number of mosquitoes.
Certain fish are natural predator of mosquito larvae in ponds.
Larvae of other insects also feed on larvae of mosquito.

It is on Babar road. My home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. I share my bedroom with my brother. It has two beds, a cupboard, a bookcase and a table.

My home has a sitting room and a study room. We sit, talk and eat in the sitting room.
It has a drawing room for guests. It has a beautiful lawn. There are colourful flowers and green grass in it. We keep our home clean.

A TOUR TO MY GARDEN

Almost everyone is fond of flowers. I love flowers. There is a garden in my house. There are green grass, tall trees and colourful flowers in it.
The garden has different kinds of trees and lovely flowers. There are roses, lilies, tulips, sunflowers and pansies. There are colourful and beautiful marigold flowers also. There are pink, yellow, white and red flowers. The scene of flowers pleases everyone. In spring, my family spends afternoons and takes tea in the garden. There are chairs and benches to sit on. The gardener prunes bushes and takes care of the trees and flowers. I enjoy working in the garden.

A LITTLE POEM OF THE CLOCK

                       THE CLOCK

There is a neat little clock,
In the school room it stands,
And point to the time,
With its two little hands.

And may we, like the clock,
Keep a face clean and bright,
With hands ever ready,
To do what is right.

WATER (john R. Crossland)

                          WATER

Water has no taste at all,
Water has no smell,
Water's in the waterfall,
In pump, and tap and well.

Water,s everywhere about,
Water,s in the rain,
In the bath, the pond and out,
At sea, it's there again.

Water comes into my eyes.
And down my cheeks in tears,
When mother cries, "Go back and try
To wash behind those ears."

SMALL POEM SUN AND MOON

                  SUN AND MOON

When do you see the sun?
When do you see the moon?
What do you at that time?

The moon shines clear as silver.
The sun shines bright like gold.
And both are very lovely,
And very, very old.
God hung them up as lanterns,
For all beneath the sky,
And nobody can blow them out,
For they are up too high.

A VERY FAMOUS STORY A BUNDLE OF STICKS

The father said , "Untie the sticks and each of you take a stick." They did it. He called out to them, "Now break it." They broke each stick easily. Their father advised them, "Be united because unity is strength."

THE OLD WOMEN BY JOSEPH CAMPBELL

                THE OLD WOMEN

                                BY

               JOSEPH CAMPBELL

As a white candle
In a holy place
So is the beauty
Of an aged face.

As the spent radiance
Of the winter sun
So is a women
With her travail done.

Her brood gone from her
And her thoughts as still
As the waters
Under a ruined mill.

Theme

The theme of the poem is the " laborious life" of a women. Her children go away from her and she leads a life of solitude.

MEDIA AND ITS IMPACT

Media helps people to share knowledge of the world they inhabit. Their feelings and opinions are expressed through it. Media attracts the attention of a very large audience. Have you noticed that the first thing that we do soon after entering the house is to switch on the television?

Two types of media.
Electronic Media and
Print Media
It includes film, radio, television, internet, books, magazines and newspapers.
It provides us information as well as entertainment. Media plays a very constructive role for society. It would not be wrong to say that media is the most vigilant institution that keeps an eye on every segment of the society.

DAFFODILS (William Wordsworth 1770-1850)

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling leaves in glee;
A poet could not be but gay,
In such a jocund company!
I gazed-and gazed-but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dance with the daffodils.
